Borderlands Conference highlights progress made in supporting local economy

Cumbria LEP team members and Chair Lord Richard Inglewood were in attendance at the latest Borderlands Conference, held recently at The North Lakes Hotel at Penrith.

The Borderlands Inclusive Growth Deal aims to boost the economy across the English–Scottish border to support local businesses and communities to prosper.

Cllr Jonathan Brook, Leader of Westmorland & Furness Council and LEP Board member welcomed attendees before a range of speakers and panel discussions shed light on the progress made since the Growth Deal was signed in 2021.
