Help us assess the impact on Cumbria's economy
THE COVID-19 ECCONOMIC IMPACT SURVEY HAS NOW CLOSED.
All Cumbrian businesses are invited to take part in a large-scale survey designed to assess how the county’s economy has been, and continues to be, affected by COVID-19.
A link to the Cumbria Economic Impact Survey has been released to reach hundreds of businesses and organisations in the county.
The survey is being carried out by the Business and Economic Response and Recovery Group (BERRG) of the Local Resilience Forum, which is responsible for leading the business community’s response to, and support the recovery from, COVID-19.
Chair Jo Lappin said: “BERRG has been established to assess the implications of the coronavirus pandemic on Cumbria's economy and to ensure that appropriate actions are put in place to support Cumbria's businesses now and over the coming months.
“In order to do this, we need to hear from businesses, charities and other organisations about the type and scale of impacts that they are experiencing.
“We appreciate the pressure that our businesses and other delivery organisations are under, but this information is really important in understanding the impact at both sectoral and area level, which will support mitigation and inform future business recovery activity.
“We would therefore welcome as many businesses as possible completing the survey, which should take no more than 10-15 minutes."
This round of the survey will remain open until Sunday, May 3.
Mrs Lappin, Chief Executive of the Cumbria Local Enterprise Partnership, which is leading the research on behalf of BERRG, added: “We appreciate the survey is asking for specific information about our businesses but we can assure all of those responding that their responses will be anonymised, and none of the findings published or shared will allow individual businesses to be identified. Additionally, no information will be used other than for the stated purpose.”
Businesses are encouraged to share the link with their own networks and also to share Cumbria LEP social media posts to help spread the word.
Only one response from each business/organisation is required and there is an opportunity for those interested in staying involved to become part of an ongoing panel that will respond to shorter surveys more regularly.
Businesses interested in doing this can confirm their interest at the end of the survey.
