Cumbria LEP attends the launch of the Health and Life Sciences Pledge
Cumbria Local Enterprise Partnership’s Head of Programmes, Paul Foster, attended the launch of the Health and Life Sciences Pledge on Thursday the 23rd March in Newcastle.
The Health and Life Sciences Pledge, which is led by the Academic Health Science Network for the North East and North Cumbria (AHSN NENC), brings together the regional health and life sciences ecosystem to:
- collectively address challenges within the sector;
- gain recognition for our exemplary infrastructure and assets nationally and internationally;
- identify opportunities and attract investment to the region;
- and celebrate our collective success in the health and social care innovation arena.
Paul said:
“There is a lot to celebrate within the health & life sciences sector in the region. We are proud to support the Health and Life Sciences Pledge which will help to position the region as a world-leading destination in health and social care innovation.
“We want to encourage our businesses to get involved and hope to help shape procurement policies within the health sector so that more Cumbrian businesses can access supply chains and develop their ideas and technologies.”
