Cumbria LEP (CLEP) Chief Executive Jo Lappin explains: “This is a real chance for those passionate about Cumbria to come and take a leading role in shaping our economic future.

“We would like to see more business people involved in taking forward economic growth in Cumbria to work alongside all of those currently involved, who have been doing an excellent job in taking us this far.

“The Board wants to be open, inclusive and doing the things that matter most to our businesses. That’s why it’s really important that we have strong private sector involvement throughout our governance structure.

“New members appointed to these groups will have the opportunity to work collaboratively to identify opportunities and address any challenges to help move forward Cumbria’s economy.”
