New programme of events to assist Cumbrian businesses

Cumbria Local Enterprise Partnership (CLEP) has organised a new programme of online events to assist businesses in the county.

The series of free to access Seminars, Masterclasses and ‘Fireside Chats’ will cover a range of topics of interest to the county’s Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) over the coming weeks and months.

They include discussions on, for example:

  • Business survival;
  • Business support;
  • EU Transition;
  • Learning from experience;
  • How to grow your business.

A series of ‘Fireside Chats’ are being organised during which participants can hear from some of Cumbria’s SME leaders, as well as gaining insight from national figureheads.

In addition, Masterclasses will cover a range of critical topics including financial planning, EU transition, mental wellbeing, digital upgrades and more.

Miranda Kirschel, CLEP’s Head of Business and Innovation, said: “Along with our partners, we’re determined to do everything we can to assist our businesses over the challenging weeks and months ahead and ensure they’re as well prepared and informed as possible.

“We’re keen to build upon the success and popularity of the regular Business Advice Clinics we’ve been running for several months. They will continue, albeit with a slightly changed format.

“Through this revised and expanded programme of events, we’ll be able respond to circumstances as they develop and be flexible so that important issues of the day relevant to the business community are given an airing.”
