You are invited to our AGM on September 28th

Cumbria Local Enterprise Partnership is holding an open Annual General Meeting on September 28th at Cumbria LEP’s Conference & Business Centre, Redhills, Penrith.

The AGM, which is a public event, will be of particular interest to Cumbrian businesses, public and voluntary and community sector partners.

The event comes at a key time as work is progressing on the new Local Industrial Strategy which will map out the county’s economic priorities through to the 2030s in consultation with partners and stakeholders.

The aim is to more accurately identify priorities to improve skills, increase innovation and enhance infrastructure and business growth, with greater emphasis on locally targeted policies.

The event will open from 1:30pm with a light networking lunch, with the formal AGM commencing at 2:00pm and closing at 4:30pm.

Cumbria LEP Chair Lord Inglewood says: “We warmly invite businesses, public, voluntary and community sector partners to attend the AGM, and indeed anyone who wants to know more about what we do and our future plans as we seek to boost Cumbria’s economy.

“It’s an opportunity for attendees to hear from the Chair, Board members and the leadership team about our activities and achievements in the last 12 months, including an update on the Local Industrial Strategy, skills initiatives like the new careers hub and employer panels, and changes to the way we operate.

“There will also be plenty of discussion about our future plans to work with partners to take forward economic growth, productivity and prosperity for our businesses, people and communities in Cumbria. Delivering an effective new Local Industrial Strategy will be crucial to this.”
