Strategic Economic Plan
The plan sets out how the county’s economy can deliver jobs, business growth, improved skills, new infrastructure, housing and a range of other economic benefits, between now and 2024. The plan sets out the LEP’s four strategic priorities and the four economic drivers the LEP will focus on to deliver those priorities.
Cumbria Infrastructure Plan
The Cumbria Infrastructure Plan is a strategic document that prioritises the infrastructure needed to facilitate economic growth and maximise the opportunities that will be generated from large-scale projects that will take place in the county over the next 15 years. The Infrastructure Plan supports the delivery of key infrastructure improvements to meet the priorities set out in the Cumbria Strategic Economic Plan.
Cumbria Strategic Investment Plan
This plan articulates LEP’s strategic approach to investment and priorities for the next five years, in particular the role of the growth deal in supporting growth the county, and Cumbria’s contribution to the UK economy.
Cumbria Skills Investment Plan
The Skills Investment Plan has been designed to enable the provision of skills and learning to meet the emerging needs of the county over the coming years. It identifies capital and revenue priorities that will inform how the LEP deploys and influences funding for skills in Cumbria and sets targets against which it will measure progress.
M6 Corridor Strategic Infrastructure Prospectus
The prospectus seeks to highlight the far-reaching opportunities presented by the M6 corridor and also the critical need for infrastructure investment and support by partners if the corridor’s full potential is to be realised.
West of M6 Connectivity Study
The purpose of the study was to examine the issues and constraints associated with the strategic road connectivity of the Port of Workington, and the route capability, resilience and reliability of the A595, A590 and A66 to the west of the M6. The report presents the results of the options assessment undertaken on schemes that have been prioritised for further development work. The prioritisation process and scheme assessment work is documented in this report, along with details of the study approach, objective setting and the next steps for taking schemes forward.
Cumbria European Structural and Investment Funds Plan 2014-2020
The European Structural and Investment Funds Investment Plan for the period 2014-2020 sets out the priorities that Cumbria intends to support with EU funding. Cumbria has been given a notional allocation of €91m (around £78m at current rates) against which to plan. These funds will be used to invest in activities to help Cumbria become more prosperous, and so a better place to live and work. In drawing up the plan, the LEP has had to take account of EU funding priorities.
Cumbria Rural and Visitor Economy Growth Plan 2017
The Growth Plan sets out the priorities for growth in our rural and visitor economies over the next 5 years. These priorities will help underpin future investment by both the public and private sectors.
